Abstract
The problems which performers confront with “unplayable” works, especially Xenakis’s Evryali for piano, are examined from technical, aesthetical and ethical perspectives. Faced with diverse possible solutions, a performer must define his choices by relying upon an analysis which truly facilitates meaning.
